Covid-19 Safety Measures for Therapy Sessions
Therapy sessions will continue to be offered to clients, whilst strictly following the HSE health guidelines for protection of clients and therapist through sanitisation and social distancing. Anyone who is self-isolating, one of the vulnerable groups (i.e. over 60 or have an underlying condition), feel unwell, or have any of the symptoms listed by the HSE health guidelines, therapy sessions will be offered online through video call such as Factime, Whatsapp or Zoom.

Sanitisation
All surfaces, door handles will be sanitised before every client’s session.
You will be required to sanitise your hands before and after the session.
Sanitiser and hand towels/tissues will be provided.
All hand towels/tissues will be disposed of safely by the therapist after each session.
There are toilets provided within the practice building, to minimise risk, it is advisable for clients to try and ensure that they do not require the bathroom before sessions, if at all possible.
Understandably, there are general colds and bugs also circulating within the community, please use the hand towels or tissues, both provided, if you feel the need to cough or sneeze, and put it in the bin provided.
Social distancing
As per the HSE guidelines, social distancing will be implemented within the practice in the following procedure:
The practice is located within a house, with the ability for you to park as close to the building door as possible, with minimal, if not zero contact with other persons.
Please do not arrive early for appointments (there is no waiting room), you may wait in your car if you arrive earlier than the appointment time.
The door will be open for you to walk straight in, and take a seat at the time of your appointment.
The therapist will close the door after you are seated, and maintain a minimum of 2 metres distance from you at all times.
The distance between the therapist and client seated, is 2.4 metres.
Any worksheets, payment of fee will be left on the bookshelf, whilst maintaining a minimum distance of 2 metres.
If you prefer not to handle cash, you may pay for the session via PayPal or bank transfer.
At the end of the session, the therapist will open the door for you to exit, to maintain a minimum of 2 metres distance, please remain seated on the seat until the door is opened for you.
As per the HSE’s guidelines, hand-shaking before or after sessions will not be offered by the therapist.
Online/Telephone therapy sessions
If you are self-isolating, one of the vulnerable groups (i.e. over 60 or have an underlying condition), feel unwell, or have any of the symptoms listed by the HSE health guidelines, therapy sessions will be offered online through Zoom, Whatsapp Video, FaceTime if you have an Apple device, or via a telephone call.
Zoom is a free, secure online video conferencing app that can be downloaded onto a pc, laptop, tablet, iPad or mobile phone.
Payment for the session can be made via PayPal or bank transfer before or during the online session.

I will continue to follow the HSE’s latest recommendations, and, if necessary, in the future may offer all sessions online. Until then, I will continue to offer sessions.
